Just wait boys, it gets worse. Fedex, UPS and the USPS all have fuel contracts that will expire, and they will have to pay the new price just like the rest of us. Keep in mind that the postal service keeps the airlines in business, not the passengers.
Also, come this fall, where are the school systems going to get the money for gas without raising taxes. With the property values down, and all of the forclosures, the city or towns won't be collecting enough in taxes to buy gas for the police or other fleet vehicles like EMS or fire depts.
We are on the verge of massive inflation, and there is no viable solution to the problem. Everybody has to buy gas at the higher prices, even the president of ExxonMobil.

I'm sure that Rex R. Tillerson, president of ExxonMobil is having a hard time paying the high gas prices... http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Our school is kicking around going to 4-day school weeks...being as we live in the boonies, we have the largest school district in the state of Missouri (some kids get on the bus before 6am, with school not starting until 8:15am), but are the second poorest county in the State...a lot of the parents aren't liking the idea, as they would have to ante up for child care one day a week.
