Buddy has a '69 Z that's 100% stock and he wants to enter it in a concours show in Carmel in August Charlie.
I told him I'd loan him my F70's off my '70 Z but they're not correct for his car.

With a '69 Z, he oughtta be looking for E-70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT's or Firestone Sports Car 200's, no?
They repop both.

Tread looks good enough LT,how's the checking you were talking about?Any cracking at all?
I'm not sure how he feels about running 39 yr old tires though...do you have an idea what you want for them?
PM me if you'd rather not leave that here...
And yeah,Sports Car 200's are correct too but he wants to have Polyglas E70's.Far as I can tell,Polyglas E70-15's were used on '68-'69 Z/28's.He knows they re-pop both but these will just be used for certain shows so he doesn't want to drop $1K+ for something that will basically sit in his garage 95% of the time...
Polyglas is the wrong tire for 68 69 Z. Should be a nylon Custom Wide Tread. Right size, wrong tire.

John...Polyglas was not used on his Z as stated above. Repo is probably the cheapest he will find unless they are junk.

Hmmm http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif...that's why I come here, learn something new everyday.Kelsey's website says different, but I guess mistakes are to be made.
If that's the case,do they re-pop the correct nylon custom wide tread tire then? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I have 2 "brand new" F70-14 Polyglas Tires (from 1970 or 1971?) They have never been put on a rim and still have the white sticker on them. If interested please contact me. Thanks.
