I had no idea these cars were made till i stumbled across this car awhile back 1 of 29 cars well only 28 now as 1 was totaled, i knew about the 100 or so ss camaros but not the firehawks,Anyway iam sure on this site u guys know the story of matt murphys pet Lt4 proj. These cars like the yenko or motion cars of thier day were sold to the public with a full gm warranty after they had a complete driveline swap/upgrade that included a gm crate LT4 gransport corvette eng that was dissembled balanced /blueprinted then dynoed and installed in the car, light weight flywheel,hd clutch pressure plate, light weight driveshaft, heat treated ring&pinion, short throw shifter ,stainless exhaust mainfolds, high flow exhaust sys with resinators and free flow muffler, oil cooler pkg, aluminum diff cover, special lubricants pkg and alot more. This car is 1 of a handful with the level 3 suspension option as most had the lvl 2 they were rated at 330 hp and the Lt4 alteration was a 17k option on top of the regular firehawk sticker price which brought the car to 42k in 1997 wow.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Amazingly this car has had no modifications at all since new and every slp or Lt4 option is still intact right down to the orig shocks and exhaust sys it was really just used as a everyday ride i believe due to its higher milage and always a southern car the underside is free of any scale or even surface debries, the car runs and drives great and busted out a 13 sec quarter mile time at the local strip and i drove there and back with the a/c blowing cold!!!asking 25k obo if interested give me a call 570-854-0896 thanks.. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Didn't they build Firebird Firehawks in various forms for almost 10 years? A friend has an LT1 with the LT4 cam setup in a full sized '66 Impala and runs mid 13s right off the street. Great on gas too.

Wow that brings back my Pontiac dealer memories, I had the first of 9 yellow 6 speed firehawks in early 90`s. we ordered and sold several of them. My nephew has all of the biuld info for the cars we had because he liked them so much.

Milton Robison has the only 1992 Trans Am Firehawk convertible ever built. He ordered the car new as 1 of 3 Firehawks with the aluminum 366/375 hp engine.

Yes i believe they built firehawks for 10 yrs or so and 97 was the only year they did the Lt4 swap and drivetrain upgrade to handle the hp a 17k price tag, kinda reminds me of the Zl1 cars the option was more than the basic car too...i bet back then everyone was like http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif are they nuts!! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hmmm.gif

How many miles are on the car?
If you haven't already, you may want to advertise it on LS1tech.com
Cool car, good luck with the sale.
