Only a guess from me but I say yes. I thought the transistorized (non-sending unit) models had three terminals. I know very little about SW tachs.

Mr. Barr, the floor is yours. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif

Actually, a Stewart Warner 960 model does not require a sender.

I picked up a tach like yours a few years ago at a swap meet and I finally put it in my Nova last year. No, it does not require a sender. However, the needle is pretty lazy. When I rev the stock 2 barrel 350 in my nova it seems to lag a little. It still looks cool though. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
