Thanks! John

Does not matter if it is an LS-6, Malibu or any other car on that paticular line, they would be similar. Leeds sheets are most commonly found in both front fenders on the back sides, under the rear seat, in the back of the front seats and rarely over the gas tank to name a few. Baltimore sheets are most commonly found behind the drivers door panel, under the rear seat and over the gas tank. Bottom line is they can be found most anywhere from both these plants and are more often there then not. Hope this helps.

Rick,
Thanks for the information.
My friend has a June LS-6 car that was built at Flint, but He has no paper work. Where could the build sheet be located?
Thanks! John

In the garbage can next to the line workers station. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif Unfortunately, Flint was one of those plants that VERY rarely ever put a build sheet in a car. I am surprised more people have not attempted to build clone Flint cars.

-----At least one of Red Alerts (a Baltimore car) build sheets was found in the drivers side bucket seat bottom. It wasnt original to Red as it was a couple of serial #s off. We always felt that a black bucket seat prior to Reds on the assembly line had a flaw and the workers just grabbed the next black bucket seat. Later another bucket would have been added somehow to correct the shortfall. The one that ended up in Red was for a small-block convertible........Bill S

My LS-6 was built in Atlanta and I found one of my build sheets in the passenger door panel. The owner I bought my car from had another build sheet, car shipper invoice, protecto-plate, and second owners title! I talk to the original owner once in a while and told me his aunt worked at the Atlanta factory and he got to see his car being built.
How cool was that!!!!!!!!!!
He told me one of the door panels had a Malibu plate.

The Malibu plates are very common in most plants on 454 cars though I have never seen one with a Malibu on one side and an SS on the other. It would be very easy and possible for that to happen however. I did see something similar on a 77 Malibu/Malibu Classic so anything is possible.
