It hit real hard here about 7PM. Rained real hard for about 15-20 minutes, strong west winds, then moved on.
No damage.

The last time I went to church on a Thursday night it rained and when I came home I found water had covered my basement floor...ironically the sermon was about Jesus walking on water...yet just another example how God has a sense of humor...I can tell you only one of us found it funny and it wasn't me...

I think this storm missed low for me...

We had it Tuesday night. 60 to 80 MPH winds, uprooted and broken trees, displaced lawn furniture, etc. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Crazy day yesterday. The weather radar map showed severe storms just to the north of me with likelyhood that I wouldn't even get rain. While watching it live on TV the dark clouds rolled in still not showing on the radar. I was talking to Chad and commented that all of a sudden it became deadly quiet and calm out. Next theng I know it is hailing like hell and very high winds. When I watched the news last night they said a tornado touched down about 6 miles west of me. So much for live radar! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Bout the same here. I was at work but my wife had just come home and brought our dog inside. She called to say it was dark and VERY windy (later heard a sustained 61 mph for over 20 minutes with a 3 minute 'surge' of up to 83 mph), and that the neighbor's tree had just snapped. Then she told me about this in our yard.

And here's the neighbor's tree right across the street.

Friends are priceless! Paul and Jeff Fansler, a father/son team and VERY good friends from the Dragstrip days stopped Tuesday evening right after the storm. We talked for a while and assured them we were fine. No apparent damage to the garage at that time, no leaks, etc. So I figured Wednesday morning I would spend the day on the roof clearing the tree to check for external damage. At around 8 AM I saw Jeff's white dually pull up by the house. A few minutes later Paul pulled up with the Bobcat on his trailer. We all hit the roof by 9 AM and they worked non-stop 'til after 1 PM. Surprisingly, after all the clean-up there was absolutely no damage to the garage (except what we did rolling some chunks off http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Easy fix.) Then Paul jumped on the Bobcat and moved all the debris to the street where the City will pick it up. Not just lucky that we all escaped damage, but also VERY LUCKY to have friends like these guys! http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flag.gif

The only casualties we know of were our Koi. A TIKI torch blew off the deck and landed in the pond under a clump of Water Iris. Didn't see it until Wednesday morning when we noticed the fish floating. http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh, and this little guy might have lost his home. Didn't seem to upset him a lot though. When I snapped this shot Jeff and Paul were about five feet from him with both saws running.
