I have a 69 Yenko camaro replica. I have a dumb question regarding the side rear quarter stripes that i may already know the answer to but i thought id ask someone who may know for sure. The stripe on my rear quarter on my car is done as a 2 piece stripe meaning it is over-lapping in the center of the stripe instead of bieng one continuous unbroken decal. Is this correct or just a badly done stripe kit? The stripes physically look correct but i dont really like the way it looks patched together on the rear. Ive seen one piece stripes on most cars ive looked at over the years but have also seen this 2 piece version on a few. What is correct? http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scholar.gif

Two piece stripe is the way Yenko did it. I think it was so he could use the same stripe on the Chevelle. Many of the kits on the market are one piece rear stripe, so many are installed that way.

I have an original 1/4 panel from one of the Yenko Camaro's we restored and it has three pieces on the side...Not exactly normal, but thats the way it was done...BKH

Well i guess that answers my question! I think it looks a little hacked to have a 2 piece but i was correct in assuming thats the way Yenko did the stripes! Thanks- Ray

That's a pretty clone; did you build it?
