He's made some mistakes with the information and numbers he's listed but from what I see, I believe it is a real 409 4-spd car. My "hunch" is that the cowl tag is the tag that belongs there.

The car brings up more questions than answers. The motor was replaced and it's not a '61 409. And I can't read the other numbers on the deck. Wrong tach and wrong washer reservoir for a 1-spd wiper....
