I sent him the photo of the ad and he got a kick out of it. Yep, we always knew our high school principal had an IPC Camaro. As far as the DH Nova goes, there’s a ton of urban legends about what happened to that car. One that I’ve heard frequently was that the young fella that purchased it lost his life in it but wasn’t discovered for quite awhile off the side of the road.

I've got a photo of that 70 Harrell Nova. It will be seen in the upcoming book, "Muscle Car Special Editions".

Wow Boemler stories Mark and love to hear more, especially anything of Harrell cars from there. Was the legend Nova a 396 or 427 as the Harrell Special Nova in the 08/69 ad w/ Pacer may be a 396 car as 07/69 ad below, not 427 as what looks like the 450 Hp '68 Harrell Nova is in the 12/68 Boemler ad as Post #57 on Pg.6? Any '68 L78 Novas Harrell sourced through Boemler would be sticks and only Gibb received '68 Factory M40's, correct?:hmmm: :beers: ~ Pete . |
