Sorry Rick, but I don't agree. A 'no reserve' auction has no set price & therefore does not meet the criteria for placing an ad here IMO. It's just a 'best offer' scenario. Parts or cars, these are rules that have been established by Tom in order to avoid any misunderstandings.
I think all ebay ads referenced here need a 'buy it now' or reserve price listed here, or just leave it on ebay....that's fair https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

So if he listed these manifolds with a $20 reserve price this would be ok to you, knowing full well that these would bring more? Cut me a break. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

Matt, my statement is not really about these parts, but about ebay ads in general that are referenced here without a firm BIN/reserve price.
I see no reason that a member can't post an ebay link as long as it states... 'sYc members. the reserve on these parts is (for example) $1000. Good luck bidding'.
Seems like the moderators catch the 'cars for sale' ads that aren't priced, but 'parts for sale' gets overlooked. JMO https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

What I meant to say was that once an auction meets a set reserve price, it is a "no reserve" auction from then on. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

Re: 1969 396/ 427 original exhaust manifolds like NOS!

To place an ad here 'all items must be priced' per Tom's site rules. 'No reserve' ads can be shill bid by friends of the seller in order to keep the auction moving & to get the seller as much as possible (I am NOT suggesting that Robbie's having that done with these parts).
I think these are simple rules to follow which benefit the membership...list the price & you get a free ad. No price & it gets deleted.
Do you remember the Olympic Gold Yenko listing https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif
Anyway, I guess we need further clarification from management regarding members ebay listings & auction linkshttps://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Just wanted to update everyone on my opinion about all the conflick. My ad never offered these manifolds for sale here, I just posted ebay item # for anybody that was interested in them. I am a member of this site and for the last 2 years Have seen hundreds of ebay, craigs list and other ads with item's for sale posted here. I thought members would appreciate the link to buy a rare item like these that you don't find everyday. I guess I was wrong.

https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif to you Robby!

Other guys run "no reserve" auctions and have links to them on here and no body says squat. You did no different. I may reply to a "wanted ad" by private message, but now you see why I don't list anything for sale here. I love this site, but I don't want to put up with the petty bickering. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

I appreciated you posting them here. I bid on them. I HOPE you weren't wrong for letting the board know. In fact, post more of your stuff is my opinion.
