In this economy, I'd be extremely careful to make educated purchases that are based on research and not emotion. I think we all know how our emotions can thrill us into overpaying for a car! I think the biggest downer about this car is it being a 1971. Even the originals can just be looked at as "a 350 Nova" and they just don't have the allure of say, a 427 Camaro. Clone or not, in the end, it is just a 350 Nova. Lot's of 'em out there. I think the deal killer for me would be getting tired of being asked if it's real of not and then being 'educated' by 'experts' at every cruise night about what's right and wrong about the car.

What's wrong with "overpaying"? The idea is to have fun right? People overpay for new cars all the time as stated above. I agree, it is nice to get a good deal but not always necessary if the goal is to have a good time.

Over the last few years this seller has had some nicely done muscle cars https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif( I think so ) and he does seem to have happy customers. I have noticed in the past the garage and driveway shown in these pictures had his location near Atlanta, GA. Maybe he moved. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Bill, again thanks to all for the feedback and observations. The comments are greatly appreciated. I think I will hold off for now. Nice looking car but I'm not tremendously excited about it.

Where he says "Heads are 041 and 'swirl polished' is he talking about some new GM technology or merely some cosmetic touch? Any ideas? If the swirl polishing he refers to is in the intake runner how was it done and does GM still use the process? I haven't heard that term since the 70s!

Re: Thoughts/Feedback on this clone

I would think swirl poishing would refer to the valves.
