Re: 69 Z28

My 69 Z28 was a flat hood car, but I went out and bought a cowl hood for it back in 74. So don't automatically assume that the whole car is bogus because of that. When I worked at a dealer, it wasn't uncommon for guys to come back and have late model year options added to their cars that weren't available at ordering time.

When I didn't see the partial VIN listed in the ad like the transmission, I became suspicious...did they tell you whether it had any partial VIN stamp?

I'm probably going to go see the car and the other cars they have over the weekend.

Guy's, thanks for the help!

Engine assembly plant should be a V not a T.

Hugger orange came with white stripes normally except when a black vinyl roof was ordered, then you got black stripes.

Mike, I saw that...I'm not sure what this car is/was. Nothing definitively points to it being an RS/Z28.

Mike,

Just out of curiosity, did this come from the estate of a guy named Marty?

Re: 69 Z28

i would say, first thing is pull out the back seat and look for an X code. will either say X7 or X3. go from there. the engine stamp is fugazy as was stated. check the date code on the brake booster. the rear must have been dropped off and put right in the car if it is original. still a cool car.

Re: Chevrolet Chrome License Frame Number #1 Team

Does anyone know if they are making these Frames again or if they plan to repo them. I have seen some sell on ebay and one went for $700. I would to get one for my Camaro. Thanks.

I don't know...I had heard of the collection and most of the cars in it, I just never got a name of the owner.

BTW, there's TWO hemi Superbirds in the collection.
