It's best to purchase a block that has been pressure tested for cracks and not Magnafluxed if possible as is not as thorough. Pressure testing costs more but it's worth it in the end.

That's a good casting number and should they can usually get bored up to .100 over without any issues.

Have you thought about a GMPP crate motor and dressing it as a vintage motor?
