Re: 8,700 mile 1970 LS6
Nice car.
It's this one that was bid to 115K and has fewer miles then that 11K mile LS6,that was only bid to 90K. http://mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail...=CH0911-116244 It originally sold new from Reilly Chevrolet-Cadillac in Steubenville Ohio, and then spent 16 years in Penn. |
Re: 8,700 mile 1970 LS6
The original paint car is the holy grail. The paint looks great too.

Re: 8,700 mile 1970 LS6
Mark was the motor compartment re-painted or re-detailed as i do not see any over spray on the exhaust manifolds or intake, i also do not see any oil residue from aging?

Re: 8,700 mile 1970 LS6
Detailing engine compartments seems to be common practice even with original cars. It is probably due to the fact that when they raise the hood, they want it to be impressive. Not everyone enjoys seeing burned paint and oil residue.
Great Chevelle! I would love to own this one. Ed |
Re: 8,700 mile 1970 LS6
The car is not untouched, and Mark will certainly share the details with any prospective buyers. This is a gorgeous low mileage car and the original paint is absolutely stunning.
