Ken...according to the Nova Resource site...1970 was the last year for the fender louvers...

As for the air cleaners...there are conflicting stories...I believe the transition was in April/May of 1970. My February built 70 L78 had the original open air cleaner...I think John K.'s March 70 car has the open as well....might be interesting to run a little &quot;survey&quot; to gather info on this...or perhaps Greg Roberts has done that already [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif[/img]

***I have one of those Z28 style air cleaners..how can I tell if it is original or repop???

That's what I was thinking on the post 70 cars. Couldn't recall if it was still standard in 71 or not.

My 70 L78 had the dual snorkle set up. but it was a pretty late car. I don't think it showed up until mid July of 70.
I know it was after the 4th of July that year. I was beginning to think it would never show up. Had it ordered early spring.
