Re: Interesting colors on a 1972 Nova SS
Ken...according to the Nova Resource site...1970 was the last year for the fender louvers...
http://www.novaresource.org/rpo_ZJ5.htm http://www.novaresource.org/rpo_Z26.htm http://www.novaresource.org/rpo_ZJ2.htm As for the air cleaners...there are conflicting stories...I believe the transition was in April/May of 1970. My February built 70 L78 had the original open air cleaner...I think John K.'s March 70 car has the open as well....might be interesting to run a little "survey" to gather info on this...or perhaps Greg Roberts has done that already ***I have one of those Z28 style air cleaners..how can I tell if it is original or repop??? wilma..Birthday Boy |
Re: Interesting colors on a 1972 Nova SS
That's what I was thinking on the post 70 cars. Couldn't recall if it was still standard in 71 or not.
My 70 L78 had the dual snorkle set up. but it was a pretty late car. I don't think it showed up until mid July of 70. I know it was after the 4th of July that year. I was beginning to think it would never show up. Had it ordered early spring. |
