Thanks m22mike. Here is Jim's uncle Dave Fuchs who painted the car in the mid 70's. He's retired to Las Vegas now but stopped by this summer on his way back to WI to visit family. I offered to let him drive it but he was happy to go for a ride with his wife. He was stunned to see the paint job he put on it 40 years ago had survived this long.

The Mrs had an orange houndstooth skirt to match the car, but I don't remember you wearing orange houndstooth pants? :-)

PM me. I may be able to put you in touch with someone who can point you in the right direction. He worked at Dale in 69 and had his finger on an awful lot that was going on around here about then.

Very cool car, great history. Did anyone notice the date on the trim tag 055? Never seen one of those before.

That is a very rare trim tag error that i have seen one other time. Maybe someone from CRG can speak more to this.
