I am a Alternator/Starter re manufacture for the last 33 years. It is hard to explain but he Ford fan is much more square and pointed on the tips of the fan.

Also, the ford fan has 10 blades and the GM has 11

The grey is the Ford and the silver color fan is the Delco GM fan. The Ford fan will sometimes hit the top adjustment bracket because it is slightly larger.

Who ever buys this alternator, I would be happy to donate a correct fan.

Thanks to Jim (McCune) he sent me the correct GM fan for the alternator.

No problem, happy to help out. The alt pictured is a later model fan but it is a Delco fan.
