U-14 guages was a option on 74 z28s. |
I had a 74 Type LT in the early Eighties, bought from my moms good friend who was the original owner. Same color, light tan/beige interior. 350/4spd tach and a one legger out back. Wish I had kept it.

I love these cars, it has to be an early 74, it has point and a Muncie mid year went HEI and Borg warner.
I love the color combo. |
Are those not a factory gauge option with tach ahead of the console. I don't know the 74 cars very well but it sure looks like it could be factory option in there?
Love this line and typo in the eBay description. The L82 350 runs strong and the M20 4 speed shits smoothly.:haha: |
----I believe that those console gauges are just a very well done aftermarket setup. Kudos to whoever did that install!......Bill S

If anyone here thinking seriously about it, there's more pics @ this link below. Note there's no hood decals so must be recently added, maybe the ad from when the current seller bought it? https://mycarboard.com/product/great...ing-2018-2019/ :beers: ~ Pete . |
Thanks Pete!

Really good intel!

Thanks for the link Pete. Further proof that if you didn't get the stripe package you got emblems. You wouldn't get both from the factory. Also mentioned was the gauges in the console. Yes, aftermarket. The original owner of my 74 Z had an oil pressure gauge put there. The air cleaners didn't have a displacement decal, that was added. It looks like the seat belt interlock relay has been replaced with something. Maybe another type relay. My car was built a few weeks ahead of this one (11B). It looks like the headliner is starting to go. I'm surprised the foam backing lasted to this point. Luckily all the smog looks intact. Looks like a solid car.
