Get the original 327 back in my 69 vert just in time for the 50th anniversary of 69 Camaro's.
Start welding and other metal work on my 51 3100 and 69 SS. Start de-cluttering the house and get it ready for sale, then retire! But seeing how these have been my New Year resolutions for 5 years now, not to sure how well I can manage them :) But I did just tear down the 327 and am going to take it to the shop for a refresh :D |
Retire at the end of May 2019 (set in stone)
Sell our house of 32 Years, goes on the market Feb 1 Enjoy our new Grandson, born Dec 21 ,2018. Enjoy more shop time especially after May 31. Launch my new Automotive business practice "The Automotive Concierge" Do a post retirement road trip ,no destination specified. Move into our new home by Oct 1,currently under construction. |
1. Sell most of the automotive parts accumulated from cars I no longer own or projects that never got executed. I want the space more than the money, and I don't want my family to have to deal with identifying and getting rid of this stuff without my help.
2. My classic car collection needs to be shaken up. I need to assemble my longtime project (1963 406/405 Galaxie 500XL) at least enough to make it sellable, and then cut loose one of the '65 ragtops. 3. All the kids are teenagers now, so I need to be deliberate about spending time with them when I can, and also work on "dating" my wife, now that the kids aren't so labor intensive and we make sure we still get along well when they're gone. 4. Workout/yoga/active. I turn 50 this year and I get stoved up way too easily now. Use it or lose it. |
