I would surely would experiment a little on a junk battery terminal 1st. No sense in ruining your originals. Theres a lot of great ideas. One of them should work.

All very good ideals! I have some repo cables that I hope are the same lead design. They are also spring rings with battery corrode on them so one of the ideals has to work.
