That is a pre 70 Goodyear dating system. EVERY license plate on post 70 tires has all numbers on a single cavity insert. - variable data - the ones Charlie has shown have a 3 digit variability, which I believe follows the older Good Year system. How are the dates on anyone's original 69 Z tires configured?

Prior to 2000, three numbers were used for the DOT.

Starting with the year 2000, four numbers are used for the Date of Manufacture. The first two numbers identify the week and the last two numbers identify the year of manufacture. The other numbers and letters in the sequence identify manufacturing plant/shift/tire construction specs/etc.

Example......4201 would equate to 42 week of 2001.

No. Because they use the DOT plus 10 digit numbering code which wasn't implemented until 1971.

What they probably are are tires manufactured by Goodyear in the 1971 - 1972 time frame.

They are not original equipment tires for a 69 Z/28. They are replacement tires that you bought at a Goodyear Tire Store when yours wore out.

First I'm not familiar with this type of raised letter/# and 3 digit stamping. If we were to conclude this is a 10 digit code DYLCJ6A372 then this was manufactured the 37 week of 1972. This configuration used on this tire doesn't represent the mid to late 60's dating system. The odd thing is the spare tire is correctly dated March of 69
