Took a lot longer than that to build a car!
It took about two days (four shifts) for a body to go through the Fisher Body system, and another day and a half (three shifts) to go through the Chevrolet system.

I've never looked at the frame on the '70 to see if it has a build date stamp to compare to the docs. Now I'm curious as to the time spread. Seems this was a much slower process than what I experienced at the ford plant.

I just saw another GM assembly line (1970's) stated to be 53 hours!
