That MK quote is certainly "more" than a few bucks...but how are they on claims? Anyone had any experience there? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif |
Re: Collector Car Insurance?
Somebody, please respond to my issues...........
1) I have a 69 Camaro that is with a friend in Springfield, IL.......remember I live in Seattle. Haggerty (and someone else ??) would NOT insure my Camaro being stored in friends garage along side Haggerty insured cars, because I didnt have a DRIVER car at the same location. They wanted to make sure that when I fly to Springfield I would not be using my Collector car for regular useage. I explained that my regular transportation, would be in my friends everyday drivers.........but to no avail. I would up using another company ........and after getting the insurance at my Wash address.....later called them and said I had moved the car to Springfield, and being stored at XYZ address........ 2) Ive been told by more than one homeowners insurance company, that ALL my misc auto parts would not be covered in the event of theft or fire, whatever. As they are CAR parts they need to be covered with auto insurance. As they are loose parts not making up a complete car, how do you get insurance coverage for valuble auto parts??? Chuck S/ Seattle |
Re: Collector Car Insurance?
It should be covered under homeowners as a rare parts and memorabilia collection, no different than collecting figurines..

Re: Collector Car Insurance?
If you have a collector auto policies most include some coverage for spare parts. This is usually $500. Your home policy will likely cover these items as part of your contents coverage similiar to having tools.
