Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

Its not a pissing contest, you think they are great, and I think they suck! I sold all my stock and dumped it into Lowes and have tripled my money in 1/4 the time it would have taken to make those kind of gains with UPS stock! When you put your tracking number(s) in their website for tracking it shows you the location your package should be not an actual scan of the bar code since the trailer is scanned as a inbound bulk load. I was in management with UPS and I can tell you for certain that customer service is about 4th on their list of priorities, and I only use Fed-Ex for my shipping needs now, and have never had a lost or damaged package! Give Fed-Ex and DHL 10 years and UPS will not be the #1 package company! Here is how their priorities are stacked!

1. Take your money
2. make the numbers
3. get yearly bonus at all costs
4. harass/fire good hard working employees
5. customer service

Don't be lied to about UPS and their agenda, they promise the world and don't deliver s**t, give us your money, to h**l with your package and f**k you, thats the UPS attitude! For you guys that have a claim with UPS here is how to get your money back out of them, don't ever make the amount even, like $185 or $300, give a amount like 372.28 and they will pay it almost everytime with your documentation of course, they kick out the even amounts almost automatically!

Not DHL they will be lucky if they around in the next two years
I worked for DHL for 18 years boy what a sewed up company
Do NOT EVER USE DHL it will get lost or damaged 85 % of the time, trust me I know
And now that airborne took them over and one of the major owners is the bin laden
Group Yea I know you did not know this .This has not been a made known fact DHL does not want it to be known
UPS is a real bad run company I know a lot a bout them to UPS is listed as #1 worst company to work for I should write a book of all the things I have seen at the airport
It would blow your mind
Form what I have seen the best believe it or not would be greyhound or there are a lot of good trucking companies out there and it will be a lot cheaper
Fed x was not bad but are now going the way of ups Why UPS fires it’s supervisor’s ever few years just to bust them Then they end up at fed x or DHL with that same goofy UPS mined frame And it getting worse every day I am so glad to be out of that type of business today

Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

Make sure next time to ship every package with a separate label, I know its more expense but each piece will have its own tracking number, and it could be a little easier to locate. I couldn't be more blessed than to not work for them anymore, I couldn't treat people the way that UPS wanted and forced me to treat them.

Norm,
It's funny you should mention Greyhound. What an unknown great safe way to get things, especially heavy things! I had a T-10 4-spd shipped to me from Nebraska in the belly of a bus. $38. and no mis-handling. No UPS apes playing games and making bets to see who can break the ones marked Fragle!
Only slight disadvantage is that you have to drive to the bus terminal to pick it up. Big deal.
It gets put in there with people's luggage and doesn't get stacked or dropped off conveyers. And it doesn't go through 2 airplanes, 4 trucks and some "hub" 1000mi away before you get it. Much less handling. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

I had found and purchased a pad for my 68 console 8-trk player after a exhausting search........Well you guessed it,the brown truck lost it....I didn't give a hoot about the money, yes it was expensive, just wanted my pad..They claimed it went to the lost hub....NEVER to be seen or heard from again.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/mad.gif "My advice to you..start drinking..heavily." https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

You're killing me here Steve..
I have had a lil progress so far.
They want to cut me a check,I say No..FIND IT! I send them 3 color close up pictures of the item and the measurements and description of the box it was shipped in.
They forward my claim to another dept.which turns out is headed by a guy who lives down the street from me.He calls me up lastweek and we talk.He says he will do everything in his power to find it,but you know how that goes.We talk some more and it turns out he is restoring a Mopar in his Garage, and it turns out he is a Dodge Dealership memorabilia collector too.I invite him over & he and I share a kin ship of sorts. Now things really start happening..He said he made some calls & found my package was moved from one location to another and still another on a certain date. They tracked it to an obscure local and are waiting for confirmation. They think they know where it is now, they just have to locate it.......DUH!
He told me:
"Remember the final scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark..that's what where dealing with here".

Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

UPS or as I know them OOPS.I'm sure they have some dedicated employees but that is a minority. It's even worse in Canada because we not only have to deal with their poor attitude we get severly "raped" on their customs brokerage fees.Example:I buy something on ebay, price $100 USD,ship it with post office brokerage fee $5.Same item shipped UPS,brokerage fee $54.50.When I ask them why they charge 1000% more for the same service the girl simply says"funny, thats our number one complaint"and walks away.So if a Canadian buys something off of you there is a good reason he wants it shipped USPS NOT UPS.I had a friend purchase a ZL1 block (in a crate)and a corner of the block was missing. How do you compensate that?I can't understand why many US suppliers prefer them. It's ALL ABOUT THE MONEY$$$$$$$$$$$

Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

I know you shouldn't have to , but Would it make them more responsible if you overkilled on the stated value and paid for extra insurance...???
Most of the items I send out or I'm to recieve, I'll ask for 3day or next day delivery--Less time it has to be on a truck or traveling thru states--It cost me a little more but to have no headaches is priceless....So far I've been lucky..

Re: United Parcel Service Special Help

There is a problem with insuring it for more it's actual value. It it is lost or damaged, UPS wants proof of the value or a receipt showing the value. Been there, done that.
