Just out of curiosity, what is a "rear" Supercar odddity? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif [/ QUOTE ] Obviously a Freudian slip on my part. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif Steve |

Anyone care to take bets on how high this bugger goes?

Re: A rear Supercar oddity up for auction
If they do bet their money on machining the block, I would not want to be around when it grenades! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Guys! I was just wondering about this logo based upon another post about it. It certainly is the most detailed Winters logo I have ever seen. You can even make out the "R" in the lower right. Could this have been an original prototype that was saved for some reason? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/ooo.gif BTW, based upon some other feedback I have been getting on this block, I'm wondering if it can even be fully machined. I understand that the Tonawanda plant did all of the final milling on these ZL-1 blocks back in the day. So that begs the question: Does the Tonawanda plant even have the original jigs, fixtures, and tooling required to finish machine this part? If they don't, what are the possibilities that any machine shop could come close to getting things alligned properly? Did somebody say boat anchor? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/stupid.gif Steve |

Re: A rear Supercar oddity up for auction
As expected, this casting is up to almost $1,100.00 at this
time. I still am wondering what any potential buyer is going to actually do with it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Steve |
