-------The complaintant stood up, took his medicine like a man, and did the right thing just as any other vet would do. In this case I believe he could be excused, as he was a Vietnam vet according to his apology.......Bill S

Update: I read the entire story on the Snopes page and the guy who complained wrote an eloquent apology after learning what the jets were doing and why.

Kinda ends well...he was still complaining about the "noise" which has been happening since long before he got here https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

If the noise bothers him...he should leave. Then there will be one less unhappy person around here https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

Maybe it's just me but bad knees and all I'd run a block just to see those F16s fly over at that altitude.

yeah, I'd be right behind you. since Grumman has shut down there are no more stray F14's flying around here. I do get a big four prop plane from the Air National Guard in Westhampton Beach many nights in the summer. I always stop what I'm doing to watch its low fly over. Any of you fly boys know what type of plane that is?

Lockheed C-130 "Hercules". A real work horse of an aircraft with many different missions from transport, to spec ops, to air drops, to gun ship to...... The USAF, ANG, USN, USMC, and USCG all fly it currently.

I can't even pass the airport, ATL, without almost running off the road. Really ticks off the little woman.
