Re: Cowl Plenum breather identification???
Hi Guys,
Here are some shots of the cowl plenum duct off my 68 427 Impala. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...P8503Small.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...P8504Small.jpg http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...P8505Small.jpg For some reason, the metal A/C base in your pictures looks different from mine. I will get it out later and compare it to your pictures. Steve |
Re: Cowl Plenum breather identification???
Steve, does that plenum fit both the Holley and Q-jet carbs?

Re: Cowl Plenum breather identification???
Hi Rob,
I laid the base over a Q-jet and it fit perfectly with no interference. The carb however was not on an engine. I would assume this one would work on a 385HP engine, becuase I recall Jon Krogh telling me a while back about a 68 385HP SS427 that had this air cleaner originally. After comparing mine to the one in Zedder's pictures, I see that mine is identical. I think the air cleaner bases are the same for all applications, and the duct is the difference. Steve |
