[b] Back in the spring I came across this '68 Chevelle, but could only see the front bumper and a
hood scoop through the tarps covering it. I pulled the tarp back on the front and took a shot of it. I did not want to disturb someone else's stuff, so I left it alone. I returned at least a dozen times since then, the house has looked abandoned and never did I find anyone at home. It was hard to tell what it was, covered like that. It could have been a kids 6 cyl with a hood scoop. This is what it looked like in the spring. - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t.../photos/1e.jpg - - I stopped by today and the winter winds have destroyed the old car cover and tarps that had it hidden. It is an old race car, originally an SS 396. It has a 12 bolt with some sort of traction or ladder bars. It's so close to the ground it's hard to tell. It has an automatic with a Hurst and an extra trans where the pass seat should be. Driving home from work one day, and this is what I saw..... Don't know what the story is, but I did grab some pics - This little treasure being winched onto a trailer out of someone's back yard, not far from my own house!

I have known his son for years and he won't sell because it's his brothers. He has not returned from Vietnam. The frame has rotted in half! It's a 327 4spd car. I think even side pipes????

Friend told me about a 'parts car' at a local body shop. Turned out to be a 1969 Buick GS 400 ragtop. Antique Gold/white top/pearl bucket interior. Bought in the early 80's, owner stripped the paint off the car and pushed it out of the shop where she sat for ~ 20 years. Shared the 'woods' with three first generation Camaros... Yes, it was SAVED and is currently being restored... How can I post pics???

Dog I know that car, it used to be on Grubbs Mill rd in West Chester by my old house..... it was covered up partially with a tarp, and had been there since I was a little kid, I'd have to say at least 15 years.... Looks like they moved it??

It is still sitting on Grubbs Mill, I rode by there again today. There is a house about 150 yds further down the road on the opposite side of the street that has a backhoe and crew working in their side yard. Perhaps they pushed it down into the field while the work is being done??
