Final monthly serial number for 1969 production according to NCRS Corvette Pocket Spec Guide;

September 68..... 703041
October ......... 706272
November ........ 709159
December ........ 711742
January 69 ...... 714695
February ........ 717571
March ........... 720543
April ........... 721315
May ............. (no units built)
June ............ 723374
July ............ 725875
August .......... 728107
September ....... 730963
October ......... 734067
November ........ 736798
December ........ 738762

I'm not a big enough Vette fan to know if Corvette had an extended build year in 1969 or if some of these are 70 production. These are only listed as final monthly serial numbers.

I understand that 435/427s were the only 69 Vettes with a single fuel line (no return line) from the factory.

John,

The 427-400hp ( L/68 ) while an oval port engine - used the
same tri-power carb setup as the L/71. The L/36 was the only
Rochester 4-bbl setup on the 427 in the Vette during 1969.

John,
The 69 production run was extended to Dec of 69. That accounts for why there were so many 69s over 38K and so few 70s about 17K I believe.

I don't know if the car is a legitimate 435, but the motor is restamped. Funky "3's" among other things.

It has worked for me in the past. If I take the car outside in the sunlight and turn the flash off on the camera. I can get closer for better detailed pictures.

Set your camera to macro mode, if it has one. My 8 year old Sony has a tulip as a symbol near the setting buttons. Don't use the flash.

Update..this car turned out to be a complete fraud, engine had 2 bolt cap block, who knows what else he did?..he has other vets for sale, with the threat of going to the authorities, and civil action ,the guy gave us the money back on this car..I will tell you the only reason, and i repeat only reason he got cought was because of the crappy work done on the engine in this car.. After a week of owning this car the engine failed .so when we tore it down we found all the incorrectnes and ground off casting dates..

Is it wrong to let us in on who this dealer is that cheerfully refunded the money to an unhappy customer?.
