Re: 1 of 6 L89 Nova? Opinions Appreciated.
To me if an L89 Nova was ever made it would have been in 1968 or 1969. I think by 1970 aluminum heads were falling out of favor with the factory because of all of the warranty issues. Has there ever been a documented L89 1970 Camaro?

Willow Run did not use B P T stampings on firewall is correct. I have a 1993 Willow Run employees yearbook put out by GM Willow Run that shows pics from the beginning thru the assembly plants demise. A 1968-72 era pic shows stickers on the drivers side wing window I have attached. You can see the B and the P and it looks like it maybe in the Trim area and will get a T soon.

Seriously.........Building a L-89 Nova is easy, as is getting a restamped Block, as is getting Bogus documentation......what's a little harder is getting a "Documented" History of the car......Just for what it's worth.....In having a conversation with a owner of a "Claimed" L-89 Nova......I asked this Question....."Did you ever get in contact with the previous owners to verify the car"..........the response was...."I called ....But..they never called back"..........Makes a Guy wonder??........
Documented History is everything......These cars just don't fall out of the Sky!! Just my $.02 Ken https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...BruceRocks.gif |

Re: 1 of 6 L89 Nova? Opinions Appreciated.
The 311 # is for 69 cars. I don't think there are any L89's listed for 70.
From http://www.camaros.org/drivetrain.sh...arAxleNumbers: 1970 axles had a C (for car) prefix added to the axle code. Most late 69 (after 08A) axles (10 or 12 bolt) were stamped using the 1970-style code, e.g. CBT instead of just BT. For reference (since the VIN is not listed): Seller: noom1108 in Delray Beach, Florida. 396/375 HP, Aluminum Heads (T0318CKU) Cortez silver, black vinyl top, per trim tag (11427). M-21 Muncie 4 speed (P0C20). 12 bolt Posi Trac, 4.10 gearing (CBW0305G) |
