As spotted at this years Mopar Nationals. How about a 71 Challenger R/T wagon ..... note the Vista Cruiser glass. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

That R/T wagon would look better if the 1/4 panel stripe continued all the way to the back end.

Some might even say that R/T wagon would look better if it wasn't a wagon. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

August '04 Hemmings Muscle Machines has a nice feature on one of the original Hurst/Olds Vista Crusiers from the Indy 500 effort that year.

I'm a HUGE long-roof (wagon) fan. Muscle wagons are even cooler.

Locally here in Washington are a couple of really neat rigs. One was a '64 Dodge 440 wagon, factory 365hp/426ci Street Wedge with 4 speed, silver on red. Everything was right except the money. I was very tempted, but he wanted restored money for a restoration project.

The holy grail for me is actually within 5 miles of me. A local Thunderbird restorer has a 1957 Ford 6 passenger Country Sedan, factory F-code 312 SUPERCHARGED. Has full history and complete documents, too. I want to own it so bad it hurts me, but only crazy money would cut it loose, as he appears to be assembling a collection of F-code cars in every body style. (T-bird, Skyliner, hardtop, 2dr sedan, 4dr sedan, wagon, etc.) I did recently get a '57 Country Sedan, but had to settle for a 292/auto.

Greg Donahue, the '63/'64 Galaxie guru/musclecar restorer, told me of a '63 R-code 427/4sp Galaxie wagon he had years ago, that he ended up PARTING OUT to make more money on it (ouch). One Ford mag had a small write-up on a '67 Ford full size wagon custom ordered with buckets and a 428/4sp drivetrain. A fellow had sportscar wants with a big family commitments, so it took an effort that got him to Lee Iacocca before his request was granted.

Keep those wagon posts coming...... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Wagons are making a big comeback for sure. They're unique vehicles that have many unique parts/features that make them interesting and collectible, but at the same time make them cool to use and enjoy as well. Here are a few my bro snapped at the Goodguys show in DesMoines this summer.
