Kind of interesting that they get all excited about 179 Hemi 426 convertibles being built and making them the rarest as a group. Tough to dispute one of one or one of two type cars, but the aggregate statistics seem wierd.

How does that stack up to the 20-something LS-6 convertibles ever built or the 71 (or is it 72?) ZL-1 cars ever built?

I also know a few people that might beg to differ that a W-31 Cutlass isn't a muscle car!?!

For the high dollar cars I'd really like to have, I'll place a vote for one of the two Boss 429 Cougars. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

Last I heard, Ed Meyers was assembling the remains of Dyno Don's car. He found a body with no floors, and then tracked down much of the original underbody/unibody structure behind the shop that did the work. Or maybe he found the Boss 429 shock towers with Cougar bits and then found the rest, I can't remember now. I used to have a link to a great article, but it was lost in the crash of my old computer. Eddie Schartman's car is still MIA, as far as I know....

I Vaguely remember that Great Story!
It was written up in one of the MuscleCar mags within the last 6 years I think?.I have it here somewhere.
He found the shock towers at a swapmeet. The number on them was what was the key,all who inspected them figured they were from an obviuous generic Cougar, but this guy new something wasn't right. He bought them & hit the books. He spent countless hours researching & documenting it's past.He traced the towers all the way back to it's original heritage. One of the rare Boss 429 Cougars.Once he had evidence,he went back to the seller, who pointed him to the shop they came from. There he found a few more body parts, floors fenders etc.
It was all that was left of the Boss 429 Cougar,as the car was previously cut up,but the magazine article called it one of the greatest Detective Car ventures ever,as so many had overlooked these parts in the past. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif
