Telling a man what wax to use on his car is like telling him which steak sauce to put on his steak.....some of us are pretty hardheaded. [/ QUOTE ] https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif I've been told a number of times that I may be a little difficult to sway. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif All of these products sound good, and everyone is sure to defend their choices. It's just human nature. I bought a new car in 1970. The first coat of wax it received was the old two-step Meguiar's Competition that came in black plastic tubs. The cleaner was pink and the sealer was light green. I was happy with the results and have stuck with Meguiar's since that day. This car's paint has NEVER had anything but Meguiar's on it. I might try some of the other stuff discussed here, but it will be on one of the other vehicles. Just a loyalty thing I guess. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif BTW, I do agree; the Professional Grade (tan bottle) products are the way to go. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Re: Carwash Products...
Was that the crap that came in the aerosol can? Kinda foamy? My Dad bought a load of that stuff and made me 'polish' his '63 Buick. NASTY stuff. Almost like polishing your car with oil. The only good part of that stuff was that it took of 'road oil' pretty well.
My worst recollection of polishing/waxing was my annual 'right of passage'. I had to wax our boat every spring, just before skiing season began. Laying on my back on the broken concrete floor of our old garage waxing the hull of an 18' fiberglass boat AIN'T MY IDEA OF FUN! Oh well..............I survived. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Ken, The Blue Coral ended up in the trash YEARS ago............. and the Corvette................... Well, I don't own it anymore, but I DO know where it is! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |
