Picked my car up from the body shop on Sunday. Now I’m finishing the small mechanical items so I can drive it. 👍🏻

Looks awesome Steve!

I’ve put just about 550 miles on the car so far this summer. I’ve decided to put the NOS exhaust system and manifolds on the car and ditch the headers. I also decided to pull the transmission and replace the clutch. I was able to see the partial vin on the transmission with a mirror but couldn’t get a good picture of it. Now I could 👍🏻

Car looks great also cool to know there's LS6's prowling the streets here in Ontario again.:headbang: You most likely have one already but have you seen the 12/19 LS6 Registry Orphan page posting w/ copy of GM Canada microfiche page available w/ your VIN, click here... http://ls6registry.com/misc/orphan.htm :beers: ~ Pete . |
What's that about?
December 20, 2019~Gentleman has Canadian microfiche for Kansas-built LS6, VIN 136370K145830, if current owner would like a copy. |

Surprising it's actually you w/ the LS6 Registry posting and thanks for clarifying what happened. The GM Canada Microfiche pages were sure great although understandable why they're no longer available. :beers: ~ Pete . |
Got to go for a nice cruise in this LS6 today and was surprised on how quiet it was with the new nos exhaust on and how it cruised along at nearly 3,000 rpm-with the 4:10 gears-but when you need to stomp on it -you get thrown back in your seat-I know where Steve keeps the keys so next time I will try to take it out on my own-lol!!!
Stay safe everyone! Keep on Cruising! Dave |

When I bought this car I thought the whole bottom of the car had a light flash of rust on the floors. I took a little simple green and a scrub brush and bingo! Super clean floors!
|
Awesome Steve! You don’t see floors like that on too many Canadian cars!

I must say this car is a pleasure to drive around. Every chance I get to take it out I do. So far this summer I’ve put 848 miles on the car. It seems to like ultra 94 but I do put a little C12 in every tank just incase lol..
|
You have a treasure for sure.

I decided to take the car to the drag strip last Friday lol. First time that I’d been in a while. I believe there is room for much improvement but I didn’t want to beat on it too hard lol. I was in the left lane.

You better pound a little harder!!!
That thing has 450 HP, and 4.10 gears, it should be faster than my Cutlass.... :-) Ryan W31 |
You better pound a little harder!!!
___________________________ Hey, Hey, Hey.....this is a PG rated website. This is the way you Canadians speak? Wash your mouth out with soap. Plus, It`s all seat time....next time that LS6 will get a much better ET. At least he did lose to a girl :) Dan |

Let me know next time you go. I was there with the Nova. I was surprized how busy it was. Did you notice that monster Vette, the blue C2. That car won Drag Week a couple of years ago. See you soon. Ziggy |

The Chevelle bug started young with me. I bought this ‘70 SS 396 when I was 15 and slowly built it through high school. I was 17 here lol.

I’ve managed to put 2571 miles on the car so far this year. I’m amazed how nice it is to drive.

I was able to track down the second owner of the car last night. He bought the car in 1978. This picture was taken in 1982. He owned the car from 1978-2010 and only put 1000 miles on the car.

Nice Steve! :burnout:

That’s awesome Steve!

So is the entire history now known?

Well done Steve! Great pic.

Ok so now I found out the last guy wasn’t the second owner of my car but likely the 3rd or 4th. I was emailing with gentleman named Colin that owned it previous last night and he gave me more names of previous owners. Here is a picture from when he drove it. Apparently the guys before him raced the car a lot. Hopefully know more later today. 👍🏻

Getting closer! This is a picture from the second owner. He had the original bill of sale for this car for years. He’s gonna try and find it for me. It was sold at Kipp Scott Chevrolet in Red Dear for $5350. On my build sheet it doesn’t say the dealer, it says GM Car Account.
|
Dealer Trade?
No front Bumper Guards. |

I put the bumper guards on the car. I love the looks of them. Kipp Scott was a Pontiac dealer back in 1970. The Chevrolet dealer was Wheaton Chevrolet. Not sure why it was sold at Kipp Scott but apparently it was.

Those vintage shots are priceless!
My first car was a 70 Chevelle (307 pg that I bought in Hamilton for $400 in 1978). I’ve been thinking about getting another. |
