When Jim gets the sheets and get them scanned in I hope you'll be able to see all of the sheet. Hand written along the bottom of some of them is the price they sold for and a lot of the cars sold for less than $100.

Those are very cool and w/ Vin details could still lead to something good.
The Fords shown are just 302 and 351 cars but it's always best look at any engine digit Vins including Mopars etc.

Cool Z story Lynn!
We used to do the A-pillar/floor cut clips too and done correctly were clean fixes.
Lots were low mile 70's X-body cars and we'd use whatever nice parts were available sometimes leaving the resulting mixed styles...Novas/Omegas w/ Ventura/Apollo noses etc.
Most people didn't notice or give a care and occasionally I'd spot these crossbreeds later on the street.

the 'A' in this VIN must be a typo?

You are correct. When done right, there is no practical difference between one of those cars a one that has never been hit. And it is way better than one that had to have sheet metal replacment or the frame pulled. My boss used to live for the days he could find two mustangs the same year and same color. On those he would almost always just paint the rocker and put on a vinyl top.

Sorry for the hijack.

We picked up a 68 Camaro from Texas a few years ago that had a pretty strange cut through the rear floor. Later I figured out they cut the floor through the rockers behind the front seats and at the top of the a pillars to "clip" the car.

Get ahold of Jim and he'll get you copies when he is done scanning them in. They're leaving today to go to his place.

Thanks,
Lon

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't see any SS nomenclature, and the stripes were optional on non-SS cars, so this car could be a lot more interesting than you think. :two cents:

Re: Vintage salvage pool sheets. Neat info

that was my point, SS stripes added to a Malibu, Z28 stripes added to plain jane Camaros ...
