from 2009
Based on our further and intensive inspection, and due to the extensive sheet metal repairs performed on this Yenko Camaro, our opinion is that it should be considered to have been rebodied.

The complete and original cowl section containing the original confidential VINs appears to have been welded at the factory spot weld points on the restored car. We believe the trim tag, the VIN tag, the original engine and many other Yenko/COPO components are original to this Yenko.

This stunning and significant Yenko has won numerous show awards including:

984 points at the 27th annual Diamond Certification at the US Camaro Club

Top Gun for best Restored Chevrolet at the Chevy Vette Fest Nationals

Numerous Gold Spinner Awards, Chevy Vette Fest Nationals

Placed Third at the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concourse

This information has been provided to the best of our knowledge. Please email [email protected] with any additional questions.

It will be at the Mecum Auction in Indy.

"Is there some sort of secret about this Yenko?"

No secret if a potential auction bidder in 2019 recalls 10 year old "for sale" thread posted on Yenko.net where you noted that the car, in your opinion, was a rebody. That disclosure confirms what most know - you represented this car ethically. Unfortunately, the auction listing for this car doesn't disclose the "secret" which Doug mentioned in this thread.

Bottom line IMO - ask the experts here before spending your hard earned $$.

Looks like the Deuce did a shot. Must have been a great car. Camaros (COPO and Yenkos from this collection) all DNS. No telling where the real bidders dropped out.

Anyone know who bought the Deuce?

YENKO DEUCE REGISTRY 01-14-2019 07:20 PM

Nope!! I think Randy DeLisio did the resto for Don Fezell about 10'ish years ago....

The Deuce odometer has been around once...

All of these replies are the reason why people should pay to subscribe to this website.
The knowledge of the members on this site is priceless.
The LB Yenko car is super cool, but being a subscriber to the site gives people pertinent information about certain cars, good or bad.
So, if/when you buy a vehicle in question, you can have confidence with your purchase.

----Stefano,,, If you are referring to the Dykstra's website and looked at Jake's 72 Malibu you no doubt saw Jakes young son (another Jake). He is now taller than his Dad and probably headed toward his Grandfathers height (6'5"). A great family and some of my favorite people on earth. I include Jakes brother, Dave, as well......Bill S
