I dipped my toe into the water of the house flipping business. There were 3 appropriate properties available when I first looked. I bought one, but for 1/2 a second I thought about trying to buy all 3 (low interest rate days...). I should have. The flip was easy and profitable. Would have earned, pre tax, a concours 69 Z/28, a perfect 70 Chevelle SS 454, and one of the best 79 Trans AM 400 4 speeds, and maybe a bit extra for a garage extension.

Many years ago I was working with a guy who had a '64 Plymouth with all of the aluminum body parts, stainless steel tube K member and a 426 max wedge. He was ready to sell for $7500. I was trying to get my Camaro together at the time and couldn't afford another project. A friend bought it, sold the aluminum for $15000, put fiberglass on it, sold the 426 for $7500 and raced it with a 440 for many years. He couldn't get the aluminum dash out of it because the roll cage was built through it, so that's still in the car.
