It takes one hell of a lot of safety equipment (and modifications) to be allowed (and capable) to run 8 seconds at a track.

Cage, driveshaft loop, etc etc etc and etc etc. These Sapphire cars are absolutely insane.

Drop the wife and kids off at church then silently spank ANY hot shot in ANY car on ANY street in North America ...unreal. I won't even mention the massive heart attack your insurance agent most certainly had when you told him of your latest purchase ;)

Some of the track regulations on new cars recognize newer cars are safer than old cars (air bags).

With a curb weight of 5300 lbs. without passengers, you need massive brakes to stop it. I’d guess tires and brakes will not last very long on a car this heavy, especially driving spiritedly.

In daily driving I rarely use the brake pedal. It uses regenerative braking to slow the car down and converts the energy back into the battery. You can adjust how much regen you want.
