Re: Original owner picture 67 Yenko/Harrell Camaro
-----Mike,,,Im not sure my memory is as good as you think, but I am putting a call in to George as soon as I can track down a phone #, and he may be able to shed some light on this subject. He may have the serial # for the Yellow car he had as he is a very organised type of guy. We will see.........Bill S

Re: Original owner picture 67 Yenko/Harrell Camaro
I have Georges number at home right now I am in Florida, when I get home I will relay the number to Shor. Every original Douglass car has the crest on the tail panel. I also have pictures early on of the other White Yenko and it hasd the crests on the tail panel and the above the body line on the front fender. The pictures were from early 80s when BOBBY johnson found the car from there it went into the Otis Chandler cfollection now Gary Licko in Florida owns the car. It was not original paint but the eblem placement on that car and my car were the same, our body numbers were only one number apart and Shors were 3 numbers away it seems all theese cars were cosecutive.
When I delivered my Whit Yenko to Wayne last weekend I noticed how the 68 Yenko had the crest above the Fender line also maybe thats why they did it. Yenko did sell 68 Yenko Camaros. I do not know if my car originally came with stripes but I know according to Don Yenkos notes Jack paid him royality on every car to become one so to me by putting them on is no different then puuting them on a Cannonsburg Yenko that was deliverd without them. I might be partial but I really think it is the best looking Yenko out there. |

That would be great Bill. I knew we could count on you. I marvel at your ability to recall so many details about the cars you have seen, and, the people who have crossed your path over the years. Mike

Hey Chris, in the circa 72 pictures is the "Camaro" fender script missing?

Re: Original owner picture 67 Yenko/Harrell Camaro
I never gave much thought to what stripes came on my car when new, but I was told that all of the Berger cars came with the D-90 stripes on them. There is an RS OG X11 car in the photo gallery that has pin stripes, but I don't whose car that is. All of the other Berger cars I've seen pictures of had the D-90 hockey stick stripe.
So if I were ever to repaint my car, which would be correct, the hockey stick stripe or the X11 pin stripe? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif |

Re: Original owner picture 67 Yenko/Harrell Camaro
I have seen an original Paint Berger X11 Double COPO with the D90 Stripe. We can also ask Kevin DeWitte as the original owner of his Berger X11 Double Copo with D90 stripes, how his car was equipped when new.
I hear that his COPO has survived the years much better than he has, but maybe his Nurse can help him type a response https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |
