Pete, it has the BB core cover,BB rad. support, and single 3/8 fuel line. And, of course, I was told it is so,gee, it must be!Ididn't get the vin or tranny stamping because the guy I was with was the buyer of this one (I was on the rust free one)so I wasn't as interested inthe particulars. I knew Iwanted it so 'good'news at that point might hurt ($) me later! To be honest the color combo is what I am turned on by. The guy also had a '66 SS for sale with a NOM, he said the heads and intake were from the Nova, I didn't right down the info just noted to myself that they date matched the Nova.

Alot of racecars have been bought and sold without titles with nothing more than a bill of sale, or a bottle of Jack and a handshake. Not quite the same thing but they could probably be contested today. If it were me I'd buy the car with money I was willing to lose , take it home, get the rust off it, get a nice coating on it and start trying to track the current owner. I'd sure follow the advice here and document everything though and sure wouldn't put it together until you felt comfortable. Ugly situtation, I hope it works out for you and the car.

Geez, I get fired up to do something about it and the guy I was in on it with calls tonight, shop guy called and says the cars are gone and will give the money back! Said he 'just got back'?!!! No explaination as to what 'gone' means, probably not good.
