Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Another couple of years and it probably would have started to rot..fortunately it was in So Cal in a tow yard and had been through a lien sale... I found it and was fortunate enough to have been able to buy it. MacNeish saw the car and said even the points in the distributor were original https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

That shot was taken in the late eighties I think somewhere up Bronx - Mt. Vernon area, but I'm not positive. Glenn |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
The pic of the vette on the pile is on Boston Road right near the boarder of the bronx and pelham. The Getty station is now a Lukoil gas station. It's off the Boston Rd exit on Hutch. There used to be an old Mobil station next to it. That went out of business about 4 or 5 yrs ago.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
ha! Lemme dig up picks of the Coronet pre-resto, you ain't seen nothing yet. I am in the heating and cooling business and spend a lot of time driving around the country side in the area and everywhere I go I see all sorts of forgotten muscle dying of cancer. I'll take my camera to work next week and post some photos. There is a guy about 30 minutes north of here who has 20-30 68-89 vettes and camaro's in a circle facing his building. It will make you cry. I've never been able to catch the guy there and no one seems to know who owns the place.

Not muscle but interesting!
An old barn on a back road near me recently fell apart, and exposed this '57 Lincoln that hasn't seen the sun in years. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/linc3.jpg http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/linc2.jpg |
