Gee Jim, I feel like I've been set up. Seems like you already had the answer to your own original question. Here I thought you were looking for opinions. And when did the "Muscle Car of all time" get a coat of Carousel Red paint? Must have missed that in your 1st post. And while you're at it why not make the Chevelle you are comparing it to a gray primer paint for grins and giggles. Next time you ask for an opinion please provide your opinion 1st so we don't provide anything to the contrary. Then "nobody get(s) mad". https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Exactly! A solicitation for opinions that turns into an opportunity to pontificate.

Somebodys getting mad? No way, I hope anyway...

Nope, you misunderstood. The question was what car had more value the Judge or the L-78..Not what was the most iconic musclecar of all time. Someone else changed the question, surely I'm allowed my .02 cents worth on the second question. And for the record.

Currently..I don't own a '69 Judge..but I do own a 69 L-78 Chevelle. And at no point have I answered my own question posed in the very first post. certainly all my comments are made in good humor with tongue in cheek...OK?

But if anyone wants to comment on the original question..I'm still pretty interested in everyones POV. and there is no wrong or right answer. Even though I firmly believe the Judge is the most recognisable Musle Car of all to the GENERAL public..certainly it's most likley not even in the top ten as far as desirability, rarity or value.

Sorry, if I ruffled any feathers.

I'll take the Judge on an absolute cash sale. It would bring a couple thousand more, just my .02. Now, lets get back off base again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

I'm going out on a limb here and say...a carousel red 1969 GTO is the singularly most recognizable muscle car of all time.

People who don't know what a muscle car even is...know an orange '69 Judge IS a Muscle Car.

Actually Jim, you did in fact change the topic. You were the first to go "out on a limb" and you did indeed reply to your own question. Go back and reread your posts on page 1. So...all hands on deck and get back in your favorite mudhole! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif

While the L-78 MIGHT be faster, the Judge is, as was said, iconic and a better car (close, but the Ponchos, were a little nicer). I think the chance of fraud in Chevys and the bullet proof PHS of Pontiacs, swings the price in favor of the judge by %10 maybe more in some cases.

My $.02

Wow, we got a little off topic........most recognizable ....etc. I said while the L-78 might be a little faster and then this thread went goofy. They are both great cars. My orignal points still stand. Judge=icon+PHS= more $$$.. Bulletproof paperwork, can still be doubted by the ameteur.................phs is a record by vin.
Oh and for those who think their L-78 is that much faster than the Judge, a point i even agreed with, lets go top RPO to top RPO and put an L-78 against an RPO Ram Air IV judge. I belive that would be a no contest. (please keep the 427 out of this as it is not an RPO engine)

My point still stands. Identical cars which would bring more money.........not better ETs or anything else.

JOHN

And by the way I owned an L-78 camaro and I currently own a RA III judge and a RAIV GTO.........and my Hemicuda would eat them both for lunch...................and while beautiful it is not as recognizable as the Judge.

rats, we need unbiased opinions. how bout a table full of pictures at a car show. With blurred emblems lets have car show attendees try and place the particular make/model names under their respected pictures. Alas a compromise?
