Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Seems the service continues regardless, the latest NCRS letters are signed by Marilyn Heitzman as the new Administrator.

Reading the 'Vette forum thread posts, when the NCRS verifies claims made for cars running through BJ, are they only confirming a specific car was NCRS certified in the past or do they look for key components still being with the cars and report or note in their files when something major's been removed before auction? ~ Pete </div></div> As I noted in the CF thread, the service provided was to confirm that the car had indeed been judged at an NCRS meet on a given date and had earned an NCRS award; the car wasn't inspected - only its judging/award history (or lack thereof). Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
Doesn't seem to be anyone receiving any new ones without Roy's signature yet that I've heard about. A guy over on Team Chevelle did make contact with the new people in charge and this is the response he got.
"Ok, for anyone that is concerned. I just spoke with a couple people at NCRS about the shipping data report program. Without mentioning any names they said that they had some personnel changes and due to those changes the service had been suspended. However a couple of people had recently agreed to take over the service and things should be getting back under way at this moment. Also was told that someone had been processing the information during this suspension but not mailing anything out. So in other words they had a hiccup in the service and are back under way. Was told people should start to receive the information again shortly" http://www.chevelles.com/forums/show...amp;highlight= |

Re: NCRS Historical Document Services
So I take it the only way they will query their information is with a VIN? Seems like if I had the dealer, and the VIN of another COPO car shipped with the one I'm looking for, I should be able to retrieve its VIN? Am I correct that they won't execute this way?

Since they have the records in a database on a computer they could for example query the database on cars with a manufacturing month sent to a specific dealer and get a list of VIN's. But depending on how they have made the interface to the database it might be difficult to get the data. My guess is that the interface only have a field for a VIN with a search button. |
