Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Unfortunately those pictures hide a lot of cancer across the trunk and over the wheel well openings. This car is stored in an open ended enclosure that looked like it had a plastic covering on the ends years ago!
It is too bad because other then that it appears to be in good shape. |

[b] Speaking of silly looking - Not sure if this is a muscle car - but for the AMC guy's - it's been sitting a couple years - it real clean - it's for sale - 4k - I think - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...435/rot170.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...435/rot172.jpg - [/ QUOTE ] Hello Guys I'm new to this site. I jumped over from CRG. I was given a Matador a few years back from original owner 34000 miles with all the paper work. Ran like a champ, a/c even blew cold. He said he carpooled to work (he work at AMC) and would only have to drive one day a week. It came in to my shop with a gas leak. It needed a tank and filler neck. The owner said I'm not putting any money into it here's the title. All my buddies told me to tub it out and put a license plate that read. BULLFTR (Bull Fighter) I ended up fixing it and selling it. I couldn't believe the number of people that wanted that thing and this was just five years ago. Mike |

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Not sure why but I always thought that the Aspen R/T was not a bad looking car for the mid 70's smog time. This one looks mint
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
It is in amazing shape. The paint is actually pretty nice for a Chrysler-applied finish that's 30 years old. Even the original decals are still crisp, no cracking. It was a well maintained car that just needed the born-with 360 rebuilt after it started making bearing noises.

[b] Saw this on The Cars In Barns site the other day - it reads as follows -
This is my step brothers 69 Camaro SS 427. It has been sitting here for over 10 years that I know of. It is a factory 427 car. Any thoughts on this claim? - - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/cinb1.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/cinb2.jpg - http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...7435/cinb3.jpg - http://www.carsinbarns.com/Bowties%2...rns/pg98gm.htm - |

Rear spoiler car with blacked out tail panel, and an SS hood? Never know!

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Ran hard and put away DRY! 69 Chevelle SS, NOM, eng bay needs a little sprucing up, running when parked in 92, original bench seat, now buckets, Daytona Yellow, original paint, should buff right out, Vinyl Top. Owner purchased in 82 in west Phoenix not for sale because (insert the phrase here). Almost sold it last summer but wife talked him out of it, he had the car when they started dating.
