Cool stuff Ryan!
My second question was...any chance the W-31 is a 2-Door Post car?
So great the car found the right home!

Re: Ryan Weaver's 1969 Olds Cutlass S W31 Club Coupe

So I am no longer concerned that my small block Olds (SBO) will have less torque and horsepower than my big block Chevy (BBC) had......

My Dad and son came with me to take in a car show with W-Machine-Sam here in Ontario. A great show and a great visit. After the car show Sam graciously took us for a cruise in his 68 442 W-30 auto survivor, then let me drive his 69 442 W-30 4 speed survivor (My First Time driving a W-Machine, actually my first time driving an Oldsmobile Muscle Car) I am hooked. To top this off Sam took us out and gave us a controlled demonstration of W-31 acceleration in his 69 F85 W-31 auto survivor:-) My (BBC) L35 never felt like that:-)

SMILEY FACE!!!! (This did not help me keep my car "Barn Find Fresh") I wanna drive it!!

Thank you so much Sam for the hospitality!!!

Too add to this wonderful day I learned a lot about W-Machines especially all the wheel and tire combinations. (I love the 68 SS11's)

I had a great visit and a great chat about engine building and engine testing with a new friend who lives very close to me. I hope he will mentor me through the engine building process along with a few sYc guys that have already graciously offered to support with advice and experience.

Keith has 40 plus years experience, from the totally manual days to the modern CNC, Adcole, Dyno, Data acquisition, era. I was so impressed with some of his concepts and testing processes. (Of course a lot of what he does for twin turbo quick sixteen race cars will not apply for my W-31's) He has worked for five years in a more private engine building and testing environment not encumbered by cost effectiveness priorities:-)

I was ready to rip open my Olds as soon as I got home:-)

This is what I have gathered from "The Internet" I am not sharing this as gospel, more asking if this is accurate?

I'm not the most knoledgeable person about production figures but I would love to know where these figures came from and see the documentation. I all of my years of being in the Oldsmobile side of the car hobby I have never seen or heard of factory documentation breakdown of production #s on options and this is what the W packages were in 66 thru 70 and beyond.

I have heard reference to real documents, I will quiz a few more Olds guys as I think of it.
