Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
Hard for me to tell from the pics (it looks like it might be) but did you use the billet center driveshaft bearing support assembly?
Dad just went through a standard one in about 1,500 miles over the summer on the 62 409 car and evidenty the solution is the billet one. Looks great - love to see it in person. Jake |

Jake </div></div> No I did not. I had forgot about the billet bearings. The one on it is the garden variety that came from the people who shortened and balanced the driveshaft. I am going to pull everything back apart for right now I just have everything mocked up. Thanks for the reminder! Tim |

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
I've been slackin on the 59 lately. I'll get back on this ASAP.
I was out in the shop last night just to fill up the diff with lube, make a couple of brake lines, and I'll get some pics this weekend! |

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
Alright now. I'm back on it (kinda)
The brakes are all in. I recieved the fuel tank I had made from Rick's Hot Rod Tanks (nice). Now that the tank is mocked into place, I can start making the fuel lines plus mount the filter / regulator. Here are a few photos. http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1992.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1991.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1998.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1989.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1996.jpg Plenty of room for the fuel lines http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1997.jpg I am sending the original speedometer to Classic Insturments for a conversion to electronic http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1994.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1993.jpg I am sending out the original radio for conversion so it looks a little more inconspicuous. http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_1995.jpg After the fuel system, I need to make some spacers for the motor mounts and then start wiring |
