Way Rare Early 1970s NOS Hooker Headers, Ford 427 Fairlane, Etc
I've never seen a NOS set of Hooker headers from this era, so this was a pretty exciting find for me. I have a nice set of '67-68 Z/28 Hooker headers and always assumed they were painted silver from the factory, based on what I could find after stripping off the white header paint, but this confirms it.
Can you imagine keeping such a killer set of headers in the box for almost 50 years??? Link to Vintage NOS Hooker Headers auction https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/SsQAA...Lu/s-l1600.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qtAAA...lp/s-l1600.jpg |
I love the way the headers look dangling under FE Fords like the 68 Mustangs and such. The tubes twisting all between everything like an octopus going to town on a sea urchine!! Cool find!

I’ll just leave this here!

----The headers on Chevyman's post look a lot like Tubular Automotive headers. Any gearhead from New England would recognize them as Tubies (as they were called) were made in a town outside of Boston. The four front pipes went forward of the front crossmember and then mated up with the rear four. Most cars with Tubies were somewhat jacked up a bit as they hung ridiculously low,,,,but just soooo cool! Just imagine your thumping big-block Mustang turning into a drive-in with those painted white bad boys hanging down there......Bill S

Rick any idea what brand those headers are?

One and the same, Tubular Automotive. I might add, what a waste of an early design cowl induction hood! :(

There still in business I will be contacting them for a set for my 69!
