Re: Journey to the Dark Side
Charley, A couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of being included in a special indoor display at My Classic Car's show with this car. And, the owner had another neat car there, a 427 competition Cobra. I spent two days drooling over the two cars. I wish Rob had been there. He thinks I am crazy cause I like Fords, but I tell him they are Sheblys', not Fords. To me a BIG diffeence.

Re: Journey to the Dark Side
Charley,
------In 69(I think)my cousin bought a 67 GT500 from a Goodyear exec who was very close to Mr.Shelby.Along with the 427,it was one of 3(supposedly)built with a Paxton supercharger setup. It also came with Tubular Automotive headers. The kind that had the 2 front pipes on both sides go forward around the front crossmember. The perverbial bundle of snakes. My cousin would mash them flat about once a week. All in all a pretty special car and one of the faster Fords I ever saw on the street.........Bill S........ol red! |

Charlie,
Correct me if I am wrong, but, was this the same car Farrah Faucet posed on in the eighties? Hmmm... Rich |
