1970 Corvette Coupe 454 / 390hp 4 speed 89xx miles

Tracey and I purchased a car last week that we are excited about. Hopefully, the car will be delivered in the next week. The car came from a fellow whom we have bought a car from a couple of years ago, and have since become friends.
This a dead original, 4 prior owner car with 89xx documented miles. A low option car, as it only has......... -LS5 454 (390hp) -M21 4 speed -G81 Positraction 3.08 "economy" axle -PU9 White Letter Tires -U69 AM/FM Radio Documented with it's tank sticker and shippers copy (both NCRS validated by our own Tim Gilmore) and it's original POP. Futher documentation consists of title copies, temporary registration slips, mileage statement, and period photos circa 1978. While the car is known whithin a circle of the Corvette hobby, the car has never been judged before. Once we have the car in our possession, there will be plenty more to share. Already, the car is scheduled to be at the NCRS Regional in Rochester, MN, the NCRS National in French Lick, IN, Bloomington Gold in Bloomington, IL, and MCACN 2023. Attached, are a few pics.......... |

I have an ad in the WTB section for an original F70-15 Wide Oval. I have a line on a couple of tires, but want to cover my bases.
At the risk of repeating myself, here are the pics of what I am after........ |

Just about all ready for the summer run of judging events. Aside from checking a few small details, the car is done. Repacked the bearings on the trailer along with a fresh set of tires. I just need to load the cooler, a lawn chair, and hit the road.
I'll be posting about the 73 on the 4 post when I get some time. It's a car my Dad and I have been working buying (for him) for about the last 60 days or so. L82 4 speed, P/S, P/B, A/C, Deluxe Interior (Black), rear window defogger, alarm with 11,500 miles. Most all original paint, killer interior, and a chassis to die for. Loaded with paperwork and owner history since day 1. Once I'm back from the NCRS Rochester Regional, I'll get on that car. |
I can't wait to see more on the 1973 Elkhart Green Corvette. Good luck at the Regional event, Tim.
|
Nice Dodge…. And Vette(s)!!!
|
Good luck Tim!!

I'm back from Bloomington with the 70. Had a great weekend. I was able to spend some time with Scott and Bill (olredalert), Joe (hiperf69), plus was able to meet up with some friends whom I never had met in person before. As for judging, I accomplished what I set out to do. The car judged at 98% in Certification, as well as a Gold in Survivor judging. That of course, results in a Benchmark. Furthermore, I had the pleasure of being set up next to Kevin Dewitte all weekend. Kevin and his wife Kathy, brought their 9000 mile 71 LT-1 (which resulted in a Benchmark for them as well). It was great to catch up with you Kevin!!
For those who are not familiar with the Bloomington Gold Benchmark program, the link below details it. https://www.bloomingtongold.com/inde...dard/benchmark Now this coming weekend, off to the NCRS Regional in Rochester, MN for Flight judging and a Bowtie sign off. Later in July, on our way to the NCRS Nationals in French Lick, IN. |
----Big congrats, Tim!!! Fantastic car and what a fun evening with you at the bar. Swap meet was under whelming to say the least, but I should know that all automotive swap meets are suffering due to the internet!...Bill S

Congratulations!
