Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
I remember a gold redline cougar selling for $25,000 on ebay back in 2006. Now I know why....

Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
Why don't a few of us build a couple of clones and try to sell them?
|
Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's

That display truly is my unicorn in life.
I vaguley remember seeing one one of those at Dispensa's Castle Of Toys here in Oak Brook,Il. @ the age of 5 during 1968.I asked Santa for the full display, cars & all but was told only the cars were for sale. Somebody listed one on eBay back in 04 with a buy it now of 25K here.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat...true#Post109453 |

Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
That's it I am getting out the shovel and digging up every single one I buried in my parents back yard as a kid.

Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
The thing that amazes me is the fact that someone who has the abilty to drop $900K on something is collecting Hot Wheels stuff! I mean, its a piece of cardboard and some toy cars. I'd have expected someone with that much disposible income to be buying rare artwork or Bugattis. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif
Oh, and by the way, I have a lot of stuff to sell but I'm NOT using Egreed until they eliminate the PayPal requirement. OF course, I could always require buyers to send me 2.9% via a money order.... But that only passes off the HURT to the buyer. Just bad all the way around. Verne https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif |
Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
You gotta be kidd'n me, 900 grand for that?
I wonder how long I got hold onto these 200 F&^*ing beanie babys that my stepdaughter just had to have before I can cash out on EBAY and retire? Damn the luck! |
Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's

Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
I sell only parts and accys and I still accept money orders.

Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
that says it all:
"For some categories, sellers can also accept: Bank-to-bank transfers (also known as bank wire transfers and bank cash transfers) Checks Money orders" not aware of anyone INSISTING on PayPal only that is a successful seller |
Re: If real - worth more than some ZL-1's
Any seller can accept checks or money orders. They just can't put it in their listings. The details can be worked out after the auction ends.

James [/ QUOTE ] I'm only stating what Ebay has stated its policy to be. They said they were going to a paperless policy as of Jan 15th. Now if Paypal is offered as (at least) one method to pay (which is now dictated). If I can't mention money orders are accepted in the ad, what's to prevent a buyer from clicking the "pay now" with Paypal button right after he wins the auction?? I have no time to tell him to use a money order, and I just got 2.9% ripped off from me from Paypal for it's computer to spend a second making the transfer! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/mad.gif |
